From the time he started formal lessons at the age of eight, Robert Gallagher has had diverse musical influences. Some of these styles include classical, blues, jazz, and rock ‘n roll. His passion for guitar playing continued through high school where he studied at Fava Music Studio. During his college years, he began teaching a number of students, also studying both classical and rock guitar. And in 1988 he received his B.A. from Michigan State University. Throughout his career he has studied with Paul Vondiziano, Jerry Klickstin, Paul Abler, Fabio Zanon and Lee Dyament of Wayne State University. Robert's styles include: Alternative, Blues, Bluegrass, Classical, Classic Rock, Country, Fingerstyle, Folk, Jazz, Metal, Rock N' Roll, and R&B. Currently, Robert teaches private lessons out of his Huntington Woods Studio in Michigan, averaging a full schedule of students weekly.
