His passion for guitar playing continued through high school where he studied at Fava Music Studio.  During his college years, he began teaching a number of students, also studying both classical and rock guitar.  And in 1988 he received his B.A. from Michigan State University.  Throughout his career he has studied with Paul Vondiziano, Paul Abler, Jerry Klickstin, and Fabio Zanon.

Currently, Robert teaches private lessons out of his Huntington Woods Studio in Michigan, averaging a load of seventy students weekly.

Robert's expertise as both a classical guitarist and as an original songwriter make him a very sought after teacher.
