Music & Theatre at Schoolcraft

Schoolcraft’s faculty and students represent a rich pool of musical,
theatrical and artistic talent.  There are many ways for you to
connect to this creative community.

Music - Performance

A love of music and the desire to enhance your natural abilities are all you need to succeed in the one year certificate programs in Music Performance at Schoolcraft College.  The Foundation program lives up to its name; at the end of one year, you should be able to identify basic music styles and notate intervals, simple rhythmic patterns, and basic chord progressions. You'll also gain some early experience in performing publicly as a soloist and in ensembles.  The Intermediate program takes your training to the next level, with more challenging assignments in music theory and application, sight singing and ear training.

Robert Gallagher is now offering instruction in classical guitar at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, MI.  This is an introductory private instruction in the art of classic guitar playing: solo and ensemble performance, technique, music reading, interpretation, stage etiquette and music literature.
